  • Signage/Info Kiosk Trail access points and trail intersections
  • Signs with contact information for Maintenance and Vandalism Issue
  • Gateway identification at the Willow Meadow, West Bellfort and other entrances.
  • Native Plants, Fruit trees and landscaped wildflower beds with notable tall grasses and native plants to embellish the Trailhead signs. (Wildflowers planted November 2021 on HCFCD ditch embankments.)
  • No-Mow Signs from May to June along the HCFCD wildflowers in the ditch.
  • Mile Markers
  • Bench every ¼-mile minimum and near recreational amenities. Benches with a shade arbor where trees are not possible. One midway along the tributary trail at the request of senior citizens and one bench on the north side of Keegan Bayou Bridge near the Riceville Cemetery.
  • Gathering Place and Historical Marker for the Riceville Cemetery.
  • Shaded gazebos near the Bridge and YES Prep with seating for up to 26 students
  • Story Walk such as Head to Toe by Eric Carle or bilingual book for family walks
  • Litter Receptacle adjoining benches and at trail access points at Willow Meadow and Keegans Bridge
  • Doggie Bags Stand with attached Litter Receptacle
  • Bike Racks near recreational amenities and trail access points
  • Bike Repair Station at Keegan Bayou Bridge
  • Drinking Fountain, where it can be maintained
  • Security along trails including these amenities:
    • Budget $250 per dog to pick up a frequently loose dog
    • Low density lighting
  • An underutilized site at 10600 Offer Drive has been in the pre-development phase since 1985. Could be an asset to Brays Oaks Trail South to West Bellfort.
    • Parking for cars and busses and near student education activities.
    • Student education activities for nearby YES Prep and others.
    • Possible site for a community garden and/or urban farm like Westbury Community Garden or Plant It Forward Farms
