Join us for the unveiling of an Historical Memorial at Riceville Cemetery along Keegans Bayou Trail. We are grateful that Councilman Edward Pollard in District J and the Brays Oaks Management District are supporting this landmark destination on Keegans Bayou Trail in SW Houston.
Riceville Memorial Unveiling: 10:00 am on Juneteenth, Friday, June 19, National Holiday.
Arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 prior to the half-hour presentation, followed by hospitality. For comfort in the summer heat, tents with cooling fans and some chairs will be onsite.
⭑Cars and car pools may park at the Cemetery Parking Lot at 9945 Honeywell Rd.
⭑If walking or cycling use Brays Oaks Trail from the crosswalk at 9022 Willow Meadow, while parking a block away on Silkwood Drive. BOT is a 1500 foot comfortable Trail to the Keegans Bayou Bridge near the event on the Trail.
🚴Cyclists may respectfully walk their bikes to a reserved parking lot at the Northeast side of the Bridge prior to joining the presentation.
