See these intersection designs that have reduced the number of vehicle and pedestrian accidents. The cost and implementation is drastically less than the cost of other redesign projects to keep pedestrians safe at intersections. Are there intersections you use that could benefit from such a design? Contact your city council representative and provide them the intersection and the link to the article below. Your intersection could become part of a Community Improvement Plan (CIP).

I think it is something for us to consider for the challenging intersections at street level. We’ve got to become more pedestrian and bicycle friendly!
